Trust Education project leader, Zoe Watson, recently presented a class session at Kokatahi School and received wonderful thank you letters from some of the children.
Three of the letters are reproduced here so you can share the sense of wonder and enjoyment the children gained and enjoyed from Zoe on the subject of little blue penguins.
During the class, the children would have had fun learning about penguins, for example, where they live (right here on our beaches), why they’re blue (camouflage from above), what are the biggest threats to their survival (vehicles and dogs), and what each of them could do to help, such as keeping waste out of our rivers and oceans, and keeping dogs under control so that penguins and dogs can happily enjoy our wonderful beaches. Well done Mrs Bradley’s class at Kokatahi School!
