The WC Blue Penguin Trust will be in Punakaiki on 8 February for a supporter meeting (10am), trapping workshop (7pm) and illustrated talk (8pm), all of which are open to interested locals and visitors and free of charge.
Penguins and other West Coast Seabirds will be the subject of the illustrated talk presented by Trust Chair and renowned seabird ecologist, Kerry-Jayne Wilson. The talk will start at 8pm and, before the talk at 7pm, Trust Ranger and master trapper, Reuben Lane, will present a trapping workshop. Both events will be at the Pancake Rocks Cafe and we invite you to join Trustees and staff afterwards for some light refreshments and chat.
Earlier in the day at 10am, the Trust’s next Supporters meeting will take place at the Conservation Volunteers NZ building on SH6, 3.5km south of Punakaiki. As always, the Supporters meetings are open to all those interested in the work of the Trust. Again, light refreshments will be provided afterwards at around noon and we look forward to meeting you then.
